Jeddah Tower, Saudi Arabia Proposed in 2011, this architectural wonder will be sure to set new standards of height and design when it is finally completed in 2012. Being constructed in Jeddah’s Economic City and designed by Adrian Smith + Gordon Gill Architects, this tower will likely be the first to venture beyond the 1 kilometer mark for skyscraper heights. The 170-story building is expected to reach heights of more than 3280 feet (1000 meters). It will boast entertainment, residential and business spaces.
